  1. make video on youtube

  2. Wow!!  There is so much to do, if you just look in the right places...

    - Go to the Park

-Visit the local library.  If you don't like reading, at least see if they have teen activities (ex. movies or game nights).  Most libraries have something interesting every summer to do.

    - Go to the dollar movie theater

    - Get together with friends and have a neighborhood scavenger hunt, or play sports.

    - Have a barbecue with family and/or friends.

    - Make your own piñata.  There are a variety of easy recipes for paper mache paste online, and you can find instructions for making it yourself on the internet as well.

-Volunteer around your neighborhood.  Not only is it rewarding, but it looks great on resumes as well.  You could help a neighbor, clean up the park, or read to young kids at the library.  The possibilities are endless.

-Re-organize your room.  There's no time like summer for a little clean up!!  xD

    - Work on a hobby.

    Good luck!! =]

  3. Goodness gracious, where have you been?

    1. Volunteer to walk dogs at your local animal shelter.

    2. visit sick kids in the hospital. (No, really, they are even MORE bored than you and are stuck in a bed all day to boot!)

    3. Go to free concerts at the park.

    4. Visit your local library and read books in subjects you have always been interested in but never had the time before.

    5. Clean your room. Fix up and paint your room.

    6. Help clean out the garage and have a yard sale.

    7. Practice getting up early for school by going out for a walk early in the morning when it is cooler.

    8. Visit your local history center and find out the local history of your neighborhood.

    9. Start riding your bike again. Or learn to skateboard. Or learn to surf (if you have any at your beach).

    10. Go fishing.

    11. Clean out your closet, try everything on you own. Pull out things that don't fit and take them to the thrift store. WHile you are there, try on tons of new clothes and replace or add to your wardrobe for really cheap.

    12. Dig up an unused section of your yard and plan a winter garden of cabbages and greens. Or design and plant a Zen garden using garden magazines for inspiration.

    13. Find a good church youth group and join their activities.

    14. Learn to dance the mashed potato, the skate, the cabbage patch, and the pogo.

    15. Find a partner and learn to dance the polka, the two-step, and the waltz.

    16. Make a video of you trying all of the above activities and post on myspace - make it like a personal tv show showing "How to" by you, or a travel magazine show starring you and the historical parts of your town.

    17. Come over to my house and help me sand and paint some furniture for my friend who has none (As in not even mattresses to sleep on! She only has a dining table and some chairs and that's it for her and her 4 daughters) Or come over and help me sew quilts for the babies at the hospital and the kids in foster care. Or help me weed my garden and pick squashes to give to my neighbors who have no food. Or help me walk my dogs to the creek and back. Or help me deliver 20 boxes of donated books the ANthropology Club for their annual book sale on campus. Or help me teach my daughter to play the violin so she can be a country music player. Oh, come on over, I have lots of projects you can help me with!
