okay i recently turnt 20 years old I work a part-time job ( on weekends because im usually in school).. I currently attend a 4 year university, well I HOPE its gonna continue, well about 3 months ago I was telling my parents I dont know how i am going to pay for this semester of school because I had to pay $1,300 for summer school ( I was tring to get ahead) and then I had to pay $850 to repair my car, I make on average during the school year just $250 every 2 weeks. i told my parents I can apply for a loan but they were like no we can handel it dont worry about it, here comes the last 2 days to pay before classes get dropped, and all of a sudden my parents cant or refuse to pay what they said they would, i have saved up some but I am $531 short and i have no clue what to do! should i try to pawn stuff away? how much u think I would get for a gold watch? maybe a 3 year old hdtv?

  1. no idea.  usually not as much as you think.  student loans are very cheap and you might as well get used to them.

  2. If it's only 531 that you are short, try and take out a small loan.  It will help to build your credit history, and then see if there are scholarships that you can apply for for next year so that you don't have this problem again.

    Good luck.

  3. Go to the financial aid department of your school.
