I'm not too much of a volleyball player but I know the rules. I want to know what they look for when you try out and what i need to do to get on the team for next year. The people on those teams are always the best of the best and I want to be on the team more that anything.

  1. I never tried out for a team but I play volley ball a lot. One thing I do to practice is tie a tether ball just high enough to have to jump and hit it. I do it every day it helps me with my timing. another exercise is get a friend to take a volleyball and double fist it low back and forth it helps you with those digs and setups

  2. 1. Practice hitting the ball with the wall(like you're playing with someone). We call that "walling." Our team does that every practice. And that's how I teach my little sis volleyball.

    2. Make sure you have self-confidence because you can't get in a team if you don't believe in yourself. all teams look for people with self-confidence.

    3. Try befriending one of the players on the volleyball team and practice with them.(Don't be shy during the tryouts because you can't concentrate with that kind of attitude).

    4. If you have that kind of passion for volleyball that you wanna get in the team more than anything, then nothing is impossible.

    5. Do laps around the court for speed and endurance. Make sure to do this everyday.( I do it twice a day). Make sure to eat a balanced diet and avoid unhealthy foods.

    6. Make sure you have presence of mind. Be alert and eyes on the ball.

    7. wear something light and comfy during the tryouts. It'll be easier to play in comfy clothes like shorts and a shirt. Pull your hair back so that it won't cover your eyes.

    8. Practice everyday. But don't practice a day before the tryouts or on the day of the tryouts. (You'll get tired easily). Get a lot of sleep a day before the tryouts.

    9. Don't forget to do a lot of warm-ups before the official tryouts and also warm up before EVERY practice.

    10. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE!!!

  3. show that you have fire. always be optomistic, enthusiastic, cheer on others that are trying out. coaches look for good leaders. always hussle. shag balls quicklyyy. always be the first to get back from a water break, shag the quickest, everything. be loud and cheerful, but not like a show off. make the coach remember you. another thing, wear something that the coach would remember you by, like bright neon socks or t shirt, or a tie dye shirt, or a really crazy, frilly ribbon. itll stand out and the coach will remember you. and try your best. dont get down on yourself or look intimidated. just strut your stuff and do your thang! haha. good luck!

  4. your school should have a volleyball clinic befor tryouts go there make good impression. what they are lookingfor is potintial able to learn fast and a good mate

ask the girls on the team for help im on my highschool team and we like it when people are looking to learn ..hope you do good

DONT GET UPSET WHEN U MESS UP

come back strong belive in yourself belive me i was horrible my 7th grade year now on top =]

    do good

  5. Last year, I tried out for my volleyball team. Because you are in middle school,  they don't look for skill as much. They want to see what you can do and if your told to fix it, will you. Just go out there and do your best. If the coach tells you to do something do it and best of all keep smiling it shows the coaches that you understand you aren't perfect but that it isn't that big of a deal
