I have asked this once but I don't think anyone understood me. I would like to be warmer in colder weather WITHOUT having to put on more clothing.

  1. work. pure and simple. as someone who has worked outdoors most of his life in construction and now aviation.....the only way to raise body temperature is physical activity....get the blood moving in your body. that, and let in as little air as possible. seal every opening at neck, head, wrists, ankles ect. and work.

we used to get a shovel and just move dirt sometimes just to stay warm in deep winter...and even now move freight around on the ramp waiting on the aircraft to come in just to stay warm.

  2. light yourself on fire

  3. never be hungry and gain weight,

i'm sorry but there's no other way

  4. There are socks that have batteries built in to help keep your feet warm and when your feet are warm, then the rest of your body usually feels warm too.  You can find them at sporting goods places or many places online by doing a search for "battery socks"

There are also products called hand warmers that you can slip in your pockets and then slip your hands in to warm them up when they're cold.  They make reusuable ones called HotSnapz.  You can find them at http://www.hotsnapz.com/index.html

Layering clothing is really the best option, but you can use thinner layers, they don't have to be heavy.  I also recommend silk long johns which are lightweight and work well at retaining body heat.  Lots of snow skiers use them.  You can find them at  www.WinterSilks.com

They cost a little more than cotton but work well.  They also make silk glove liners and sock liners that work well too.
