  1. Volunteer!

    Join a small congregation!

    Visit a foster home!

    Join an animal shelter!

=o) That helped me a lot when I used to study faaaaaaaar away from all my family, eventualy by joining groups or activities different from school, I made more friends and they helped me a lot to avoid feeling homesick!

  2. Keep yourself busy as possible. Do the things that make you happy at college. Be therefore yourself. Set goals and paint a picture of what you will be doing when you graduate. See if there is a counselor. Be there for other people. Do not be pushed into something you do not want to do by others, Get a girlfriend or boyfriend that just can be a friend. Be kind to others.

  3. What is home? Home is a place that you live with a roof over your head, enough food to eat and something to keep you warm in the winter. I guess you have a home at College? What you miss are the comforts. Therefore either buy or move some of the things you have at Home, to the College room. Object that mean something to you, perhaps pictures, music, your bedding, ask your Mother what the brand of laundry powder she uses and take all those familiar things with you. Then you will not miss home, because you will be surrounded by objects and odors of Home. Best of Luck
