Hi everyone,
My father was born in Germany and moved to Canada when he was 3 years old in 1956. He is now a Canadian citizen and no longer has German citizenship.
I myself was born in 1987, and my mother was born in Canada.
I am very intent on getting my German citizenship but am not sure if I am eligible.
I would appreciate answers from experienced individuals only as guesswork will not help. I have already done a lot of research, and will be communicating with the German Embassy in Canada further, but the clarity of someone who has experienced this process would be valuable in my case.
