I am 13 and already looking into my future.

How old will I be when I should start getting things together for my application? What will look good on the application?

Is training hard?

I really want to become one, I would save any ones life for mine.

From what I have been told, community services look good, but how do I start those? Where do I start?

Please load me on details! I really want this to be my future.

  1. Its not too hard, just make sure your in top physical shape as it can be the difference between whether or not yoru accepted into the fire academey, and life and death. Check local colleges, they have the applications to apply for the fire academy for when you get older. go down and talk to people at your local fire dept also that cna give you a heads up and when your 16 they will probably let you join them for hands on exp. Also take an interest in the military. All branches have jobs as fire fighters, which will look great on your resume when applying for a fire dept. good luck!

  2. volunteer at your local fire station.
