Some of my avi files exceed 700 mb and won't fit on my Cd-R's. Is there any way to burn my movies onto a blank DvD or will my burner treat my DvD's as Cd's and only go up to 700 mb. Is there any way to get my avi's exceeing 700 mb onto a DvD without a DvD burner and only using a Cd burner? Or onto a Cd?

  1. Standard DVD players read the MPEG-2 format, the files you have now are in AVI format..

I would recommend you download Cucusoft AVI/MPEG to DVD/VCD Converter. Ive been using it for a year now, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to disc - dvd or cd

And if necessary will compress your video from 700mb to something so it can fit, or it will allow you to use 2 discs

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

    1. Download Cucusoft MPEG/AVI to DVD/CD Converter here:

    2. Choose "to VCD" then Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

    3. Insert blank Media

    4. Click "Convert"

    5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

  3. If it is movies you can simply use Windows Movie Maker and select publish to a disk. When the publicationvie window opens you can select "compress to option" then just decrease the size of the file. True your video will lose some quality but this a priceless way to do it. For other ways just buy a DVD-R drive the cost less that 50 bucks.

  4. I'll go with what Lenin said here. Either decrease the file size, or get a dvd burner. Your options are limited really. & he has given yo a free way of doing it.
