Question:

What can I do to clear up our pool?

Our skimmer was left under water after being vacuumed. Now the water is a greenish color. It is a 27' grain bin pool, and we have tried putting clarifier, alkalinity plus, and pH plus in it, but they have barely made a dent in it. Any suggestions to get it back to normal?

  1. I've had a lot of luck with a product called "Pool Perfect w/ Phos Free".  It takes the phosphates out of the water.  Haven't had green water since I've been using it (2 years now).  I live in Texas and it is hard to keep alge out of the pool.

  2. call a pool guy/professional

but your going to need a scrub brush,

shock, and a lot of chlorine. try calling

a local pool store in your area. dont wait

cause little problems can turn into diasters.

  3. You should shock the pool go to a pool repair place and ask what shock is. It works really good

  4. you need to put algicide and shock the pool. when you put the algicide in be sure to brush the sides and bottom. then shock it. it will clear up in a few days.

  5. when you do as 2nd answer said be sure you check clorine level the next day as algeacide will eat what clorine is already in pool.clorine level should 3.0 and ph should be 7.2 run pool 24 hours non stop.if you still have problems e mail me at jldailey2000@yahoo.com pool company owner for eleven years
