I am currently in an honors economics bachelor-degree program. i hope to go on to grad school in public health - preferably in a peace corps master's international global public health program. i have 2 distinct interests: one related to personal relationships w/ children w/ special needs, genetics, rare diseases, etc; the other related to global health & aids, malaria, etc. prevention & international development. i work summers @ a camp for children w/ special needs (that i absolutely LOVE) & i'm also in touch with this community in uganda that sends me handmade crafts which i sell. i figure a career running a humane orphanage / institution for children with special needs [somewhere abroad] is where my passions could meet... any advice? is a bachelor's in econ & master's in international public health the way to go? should i bother registering the uganda thing as an official nonprofit organisation? chances are, i'll be doing more stuff w/ children w/ special needs during the school year. oh yeah, & i speak fluent russian. i'd LOVE to talk to someone who has some sort of experience in these matters. thanks!!
