What can I do to fix my carpet, My puppy unraveled it???

So we have a Doberman puppy and I made the mistake of leaving him in the hands of my boyfriend while I took a shower. BIG MISTAKE! Well my bf turned his back on him and was busy on the internet, I got out to find a HUGE strip of carpet UNRAVELED!! I stopped him and gave him a toy, it wasn't his fault, well my bf is livid and wants to know if there is ANY POSSIBLE way we can replace just a strip of carpet? I am worried it will keep unraveling. What can we do?? Thanks for your help.

It's time to buy new carpet.

A professional can cut you a piece of matching carpet from maybe inside a wardrobe and blend it in seamlessly where puppy has had fun. or you and BF might be the handy but you would need to be careful to match the pile etc.
