What can I do to gain endurance and strength?

I want to know some practical things I can do everyday to gain endurance,speed and strength. I'm not looking to become a shaolin monk here, I just want a few tips here and there.

I already go to the gym but I know that muscles alone will only get you half way to the finish line.

  1. run a couple of miles four days a week


  2. Work for it. Many times I see advertisements for workout plans

    "Just five minutes a day and you to can look like this juiced up body builder" ...Yeah right!!!

    "Five minutes a day and you to will loose fifty pounds"

    ...Yeah right!!!

    get on a diet, go to the gym

    A diet is a must weather its an increase, or decrease, or change, in the type of calories you use, get on a proper diet.

    The gym.

    Go there, but don't sit around drinking your all fruit smoothy trying to look cool for the aerobics instructors. Actually do something .

    Work for it, and you will get where you need to go.

  3. Join a fight club.

  4. find a pretty steep hill.  Maybe a 45 to 50 degree incline and run this thing till you puke. Every day. Simple but effective.

    Swim 100 laps every other day.

    Eat lots of bananas because you will need them to help with the leg cramps from the hill running and swimming.

    Check your progress after 3 weeks, then again in another 3 weeks.  You should be at your peak after 8 weeks.

  5. Plenty of cardio.   Increase the amount you do over time.  Gradually push your limits.  

    Running, jogging, skipping with a rope..  even dancing haha.  Eating heathily and drinking plenty of water would help as well.  Your body will thank you for it.

  6. for endurance go for cardio exercise like jogging, swimming or biking for strength go for weights training in the gym try also food supplements helps energy bar or high protein drinks
