I'm going to be a freshman for high school pretty soon and I've been thinking about how I've always wanted to go to an Ivy League university. What are the things I should do to get accepted in such a college? I mean, other than your GPA and SAT scores. I'm taking 3 honor classes this year for high school. I'm wondering if that will help my chances? Is an international high school lot better than a normal highschool? I mean I know they are in general, but does that mean I won't be able to get into an ivy league? I know my high school isnt bad and even if I wanted to go to an international school, I really can't in my situation as of now (family issues etc). Will this also hurt my chances? I need some advice. Thanks in advance.

  1. Leadership potential goes a long way at those schools.  See if you can rise to something like a president, secretary or treasurer in some extracurricular activity.  Also check out:

But I must tell you for about every 5 or so qualified applicants that many would say are a shoe in they only admit one.

    Thanks
