What can I do to get my endurance up for water polo (URGENT)?

  1. i have played my entire life and the only way to build endurance is to do it. Join a hard core swim team and swim at least 6000 yards a day. lift weights and I would recommend bike riding a couple miles a day. after that learn the fundamentals and you will be set


  2. hold 5 gallon water jugs over your head and tread water...like was done in the movie "Guardian"...oh and yeah the bottle has to be full...

  3. All you can do is work on it.  Swim and eggbeater good luck!

Interval training.  While putting in the yards, make sure you are incorporating different speeds.  Try a 200 yards of the following:  swim 4 strokes head down, 4 strokes head up, then one jumping jack, ending with both arms straight up, hold yourself as high as possible for 6 seconds, then repeat the strain.
