At my school, my coach has favorites. we just had a banquet and her "favorite" got the MVP. alot of ppl where talking about it, me and one of my good friends knew that one of us sould have gotten the MVP award. the "favorite" is nowhere close to being the MVP. Im shy and dont talk much, but i know that award was not based on how good the person was. the favorite kisses up to the coach while the coach thinks that i am a person that doesnt like bein clode to people. this is pissing off all the people who are not getting recognized for their ability. what do i do to get up to the mvp in the coaches eyes?

  1. Bummer.  It really is too bad your season is over.  If your team conditions with him, you have an entire year to show your skills and determination.  It's a shame but people like that exist in the world and favoritism is only natural.  There's always next year's MVP.  Get out there, be more sociable, and show that you should have gotten that MVP by a mile.  Good luck!

  2. I can realate to you.  I was like you.  On the court I played great.  To make people notice me I started to celibrate after a kill or ace.  I did it for laughs ( i pretended to shoot myself and then fell.  also did the mocoraina)  this got attention.  Instead of the MVP award I got a scholorship to play volleyball in college.  The MVP winner didn't get any offers to play.  The award means nothing.

  3. Don't worry about it, there's nothing you can do to let your coach recognize you.  I understand as a minority I was kept off of the all-region and all-tournament teams while my teammates made them, but they often voted me the best player.  Do your best, work hard and the college coaches won't deny you come scholarship time; that's all that is important.  Shine for them and always do your best and let those coaches give you the praise and the scholarship.  The coach's pet will be sitting with her while you walk off with the real prize--they will most definitely recognize you in college!
