    here are some ideas

check Huddlers it has a lot of great green ideas on the technical side

  2. Stop believing in the Al Gore BS and take a Physical Geography class to learn the truth about Earth's global CYCLICAL warming trends.

  3. Reduce, reuse, and recycle, but don't worry about warming as the Sun, not man, is the source for all warming on Earth!

  4. Check out freecycle.org and join a group in your local area.  If there's not one, create it!  It's a great way to give away and get items for free that would otherwise be thrown into a landfill.  It's an excellent means of reusing items.

  5. reduce emissions and stop using aerosol cans!   don't open your fridge for too long cause the hydrofluorocarbons in that will build up in the atmosphere and trap heat in.

  6. I realy liked Amy L answer, only add by suggesting that the power of the bitter, the underemployed, all of us now realise that we are SLAVES,just as "GERRY SPENCE" claims in ,Give me Liberty. Join THE GREEN BOYCOTT .Focuss on those corp.orgs.who are producing unnessesary waste, and do so recklessly.Which corp. is advertising candy shamelessly with aboninable ' 6' cardboard kiosks of auto racing  HEROS .

  7. This is a great question but I answered a very similar one already today, so the same response applies.  However, we can't prevent global climate change -- it's already here  -- but we can strive to become part of a network of solutions.

Use less energy at home by swapping out light bulbs. In summer, keep the blinds or curtains drawn; in winter, open them up to let the sun shine in and warm your home.

Install a programmable thermostat and heat and cool rooms only when needed.

Plant trees around your home to cut energy use.

    Insulate walls and ceilings.

Install a light-colored or reflective roof on your home.

    Upgrade to Energy Star appliances.

Unplug toasters & coffeemakers, etc. when not in use; DON'T use plug in air fresheners!

Use power strips, especially for cable and video game boxes, and turn off when not in use.

Install energy-efficient lighting & dispose of bulbs responsibly.

Keep your air conditioner filters clean.

Install low-flow shower heads and toilets.

Choose food thoughtfully; cut back on meat and buy locally when possible.

When travelling, travel light and pack smart. Think about removing roof racks when not in use.

    Drive less aggresively.

Know when to use air conditioning; roll down the windows in stop and go traffic.

Don't idle, & stop using drive thru fast food, etc.

    Maintain your car regularly.

    Drive less

Carpool or telcommute at least once a week.

    Good luck going green.

  8. If you really want to prevent global warming, the best thing you can do is to kill every cow in the world. Cows add more greenhouse gases to the environment everyday than do all of the SUV's and factories ever created by man. It's true. Don't fall for the BS argument by the green movement liberals that mankind is wrecking the earth. Cows are wrecking the earth. The UN even agrees...http://www.betanews.com/article/UN_panel...

  9. Not enough to make a real difference, except in your energy bills.  Use efficient lamps, insulate where practical, use efficient automobiles.
