what can I do to start building up my credit? I have no credit ....I don't have a bad credit,.....I just don't have any credit history. And no matter where I applied for a credit card, it's simply denied. Target, Bestbuy.....

I do have a full time job, a checking account and I have never been late on cell phone bills, home phone, internet ....

I even thought about putting some money down just to have a credit card..... But is probably doesn't work that way.

Any idea what I can do please ?

  1. Apply for Capital One credit card. This card are good for people with no credit history or new to credit. http://bestcreditcardratings.com/no-cred...

  2. Look into a visa, mastercard or discover..the main credit card companies. Store cards are really hard to get with no credit (as you have found out) Get one card. Spend a little on in and immediately pay the balance on the next statement. That will build your credit and keep you honest with yourself and out of debt.

  3. easiest card to get first is a student visa card from anywhere. capital one has some student accounts where they give you like $500 credit. as you build it up, they'll gice you more. soon you'll have $16,000 credit

  4. Try Capital One first they are usually the easiest card to get when starting your credit.  To help increase your credit limit they will start you at $300 then if you dont go over the limit or make a late payment in the first 3 months you get up to $500 then another 3 months and you are up to $750 in your credit limit.  Unless you want a lower rate dont pay for your credit card with an annual fee

  5. 1)  be careful because the more you apply the more you will be dinied,  every time you are dinied, your credit score goes down, talk to somebody at your bank and open a credit acount this means you have to put your money in to a credit card, until you build up credit,   and set up automatic payment plan . that way you'll never be late on u'r payment, or your parent can open one 4 u and u can keep the bills up to date to build up u'r own, good luck.

  6. You can ask a relative or a friend with good credit  to co-sign for your credit card application. That way your chances of getting approved is higher.

Also, here's a resource i found on web http://www.badcreditresources.com/bad-cr... - it is a list of credit cards for people with NO credit or bad credit

  7. A secured credit card is the way to start building your credit. This is how it works.
