Stay focused on the goal you are trying to accomplish - detoxing.  And remember all the bad things about your previous way of life and tell yourself that life will be much better with out addiction.  Good luck.

Drink enought water. Take your weight & divide it by 2 & that will tell you how many ozs. of water anyone should have each day. Eat small meals to keep your blood sugar steady. I eat sausage biscuits when I wake up then a banana with some peanut butter on it at 9a.m & then lunch at noon...I coach people & you might benefit from getting a life coach. Even if you can afford, you can find someone who is willing to help you. This would give you someone you can make quick calls to during the week & someone who will help keep you on track & hold you accountable for doing somethings that will improve you life. They can also give me all kinds of tips to help you take the best care of yourself. Make sure you have something to keep your mind inspired, books, or if you don't read, music or books on tape, Take care of all levels of your well being. If you can find a sponser or again a coach that will be there when you need help the most that will help.

depending on what you are detoxing from you may need to be medically supervised. people have died from extreme detox. check with a doctor. my mom works at rehab and she said it can be very dangerous.

FOCUS~

Like a laser with as much intensity as you can... I don't care what on, anything. Trees, bees, Art, Cars – Whatever you used to love! (PRETEND) you are the best 'whatever' in the world and keep pretending. Take little 'selfish' day-trips to that special place where you are the most popular 'what-cha-ma-call-it' there is. Daydream yourself a better life. The other thing? Well, you won't have much time to think about that old c**p!
