Ok, well I have mild acne and my skin is terrible anyway and always has been. I pick at it too much and now I have many large scabs on my face so I put peroxide on the sores and now all around the outside of my lips/mouth is burning and raw and I don't know what to do about it. I also wish there was a way to soothe and heal the scabs as fast as possible because it's really unsightly. It's hard to describe, but I have an oily face and yet I have patches of rough dry skin in certain spots.

I'd also like to add that going to the dermatologist is most likely not an option since I'm too poor and already paying out the *** for other medications I take because I don't have insurance.

  1. Ah, I have the same problem as you. I know it's really hard to stop picking at it- but try not to think about it and avoid looking in the mirror alot, this always tempted me to pop pimples and pick scabs ect. I don't know how to make the scabs go away quickly, I wish I did, but my best advice is to let them heal on their own.

Right now i'm trying out The Oil Cleansing Method because Proactiv really irritated my skin and made it itchy. It is working pretty good so far, it's only been about 4 days. It is also very affordable, you probably have Olive Oil in your home already anyways, Castor Oil is only around 4-5 dollars.

And since I have oily skin, and have patches of dry skin around my scabs/pimples, after I take a shower, I rub Nivea cream on the affected areas, since it doesn't make my skin feel oily, but it stops the dryness. Other creams i've used makes my skin feel gross and visibly oily.

    Good luck!
