Question:

What can I do to improve my Betta's fins?

My little fishy buddy was not genetically blessed in the fin department. They are kind of on the spindle-y side, especially his ventral fins. However, I was wondering if there is anything that I could do to make the best of what he has...

I have been feeding him wardley betta food and giving him fresh water regularly.

Any other suggestions from all the betta fin-atics out there?

  1. i dont know if there just bad fins and you cant improve them or if his fins are in bad condition, try buying some conditioning salt, or if you have regular salt with no iodine or other ingredients (like kosher salt) find out how big your tank is and add 1 level teaspoon per gallon, it will help him be imune to disease, fin rot, and have a healthier slime coat on his body,

  2. Well theres no way you can improve your betta fin shape but you could definatly improve their color. I recommened feeding them Hikari Betta Bio-Gold food. They are the best quality for betta food. But it comes in rounded pellets so it wont cloud/pollute the water.
