  1. just watch alot of sesame street. that's what i did, i speak better english than most kids in the english class. awesome.

  2. the 3 golden rules to language - read it, speak it, listen to it. so read atleast a book a week. it can be a romance or even archie comics, but read! dont be afraid to speak english. if u make a mistake, someone will correct you. and you will learn. watch a lot of english movies and TV programmes. it will help you get used to the different accents, and also help you learn contemporary lingo.

  3. just practice alot~ ^^

watch tv shows in english, read english books, speak in english to people you know, type in english on the computer.. etc. theres alot you can do besides attending english classes.

i read mangas in chinese to get better at the language.. and it works. (i probably learn more from reading comics than attending chinese lessons >>;;)

i have had is just like "i've had". so i guess you can use "i have had" when you want to be serious? XD

anyways, good luck! & i hope that helped c: ♥

  4. 'I have had' is a present perfect structure. It has many uses of which the most important may be to show that the action happened close to present and it has an impact on the present situation.

    Example:

I have eaten all the food.      - Impact: there is nothing left for you

    Another example:

My dog did not come back.

      - and he never will, because, sadly, he  was hit by a car

My dog has not come back.

    - But he may, as you don't know what has happened to him

If you are about to perfect your English, you must be prepared to work hard for at least 6 months or a year depending on your diligence and ability.

The good thing is that it does not necessarily have to be boring. If you sit down and start studying books you are certain to give up within weeks. The ideal way of learning English is simply moving to a native English speaking country and live there. If you can not do that, you should imitate the native environment and surround yourself with English speakers.

Believe me, learning from real people is much more fun and effective than studying books or talking to computer software.
