I've been working hard on my website to help people find educational resources. Despite my efforts, every time I get viewers it goes back to none. I improve my site, work harder, try again, and still get little. What else can I offer?

my site is http://www.stockmarketresources.blogspot.com , but it will be moved to a real domain in the next few weeks. Thanks for your help!

  1. I totally understand what you are going through. No one used to come to my site either! My site is http://yourfinancialuncle.googlepages.co...

    I have the following advice:

    1. Join online forums that discuss stocks.

    2. Answer questions on Yahoo answers (which you might be doing already, if people like ur answers they might check out ur site)

    3. Submit your site to search engines.

    4. Increase the number of pages with incoming links to your page (considering it is one of the parameters that a search engine uses to determine ur site's ranking). U might have to run multiple blogs to maximise traffic and increase the opportunity to get visits.

    5. Join sites like hi5 or facebook or all of them! If you are popular enough, people might just check out ur site. (Of course, u talk about it)

    6. U could blog on other stuff like games, mobile phones, cars etc. I heard that they attract the highest traffic these days (I plan to start one on games in a few days)

I hope the above were helpful and fresh ideas.

I will visit your site. At least that's why I said Yahoo answers was a way of getting traffic.

    Goodluck.

  2. If the reading list of a person tells someone about them.... then I must say I'm impressed with you. You have a few of my favorite trading books listed.

Here's the problem from where I sit.  I can't quite tell who the target audience is.  Perhaps in your desire to help others, you're trying to hit too many subjects.

    I think you're on the right track.  Try to address your specific audience.  ie; A list of brokers doesn't help much. Perhaps a list of brokers by category would be better;

    Newbies

    Cheap Trading

    Best for Technical Analysis

    Best for Mutual Funds

    etc.

Good luck.... no one comes to my web page either... but I'm not pushing it.
