Broadway has fascinated me, spellbound me, and above all else, told me that this is where I belong. I'm no actress, I am a musician, but no professional. And I'm certainly no artist for costume designing. Somehow I want to make Broadway apart of my life, but I dont know of any other jobs besides the actors, musicians, composers, set designers, and costume designers. What is the business end of broadway besides producing? I'll do anything to become apart of that majical world that sweeps me off my feet every time i visit. What career opportunities does it hold?

  1. Be yourself you never no what  things you will get into or will happen

  2. Stage managing is an excellent job if you can multi task. You could be a casting director, that's all business and you get to see a c**p load of people audition.

  3. The best way is to go to a school and major in theater or theater arts. If there is a local playhouse see if they need any help or volunteers, it isn't Broadway, but can give you contacts.

Also, there are tons of stage jobs at any theater. In fact stagehands have a union, and you can get loads of info from the union website as to who they are and what they do, you can even contact them with questions. Here is the link.

  4. There's always stage work... my friend is a costumer on Mary Poppins. :)
