What can I do to make my cellphone work again?

I stupidly this money tried to text in the shower and water got into the phone and it now won't turn on. I have tried letting it dry in the sun for some minutes and blow drying the keys. When I put the charger in it will say battery charging but the the keys are not functioning for me to turn on the phone. What can I do? It's a prepaid tracfone and I just put a lot of minutes on it and don't want to loose them. What can I do?

Some minutes doesn't begin to do it. DAYS is more like it.

It may be too late. Or it may not. Here's what you do, starting right away:

Open up everthing that can be opened up, take battery out, take SIM card or extra storage card out. Shake as much water out as you can, turning the phone every which way so water can drain out by gravity. Then do the same thing blowing it out with a hair dryer on no heat, blowing in from the top always so the air movement and gravity are working together. Take your time with this.

Then let it sit in the sun for several days, turning it and shaking it again several times a day. Blowing it out again several times couldn't hurt.

When it has been at least a day since any water has dripped, shaken, or blown out, or any condensation shown inside the display cover, then and only then put it back together and try it out.
