What can I do to make my partner's birthday special??

So he's overseas & tomorrow is his 30th! I sent him a card & a present in the mail on Monday so hopefully he gets it Monday at least... but in the meantime I asked him what his plans are & he said he's just having a quiet one... I feel bad. I wish that I could do more than just call him... the present isn't huge. it was worth $100AU or about $50US but I am broke b/c i just graduate & am looking for work. Over the years he has bought me so much!! There is a watch he loves which costs $1,000AU or about $600US & i wish i could get it for him & make his day more special tomorrow. He's spent thousands & thousands on me over our relationship. Maybe I could get it for him when I'm working in a few months..... but what should I do about tomorrow??
