What can I do to make my skateboard less heavy?

Hi,

Recently I have noticed that my skateboard's weight has been affecting my riding. Would a deck, wheels or trucks make the most weight difference. I really just want the lightest possible setup.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

  1. the new independant kostons or reynolds are light.  mystery decks are light.  keeping it out of water and stuff will go a long way to keep it light and in good shape

  2. trucks very in weight majorly. some like phantom 2's are extremely heavy then you kind find trucks that bearly affect the weight of your board. the deck could also affect it if it was a larger sized deck but not much.

  3. Tensor have just brought out some magnesium trucks that are meant to be the lightest ever, they might be worth a look.

As for wheels, ricta air cores should shed a few pounds, and I know Element Helium decks are meant to be super light, however you sacrifice some of the boards strength.

  4. decks, and trucks are the main cause of weight (obviously) different ones weigh more or less.
