What can I do to play DDR and not disrupt my neighbors below me in my apt?

I have heard you can step lightly, but I like to use it as a work out and jump as much as I can, which makes it hard to land lightly if I am jumping a lot... But can I get anything to put below my pad, like from Home Depot or something? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You can try a fabric store for some additional padding

Don't forget to talk to your downstairs neighbors... maybe you can find out their schedule for when they are not home... or at least not do it during their dinner time or after their kids are in bed, etc

Try sticking layers and layers on thick blankets under the mat

And maybe a hard layer of wood to make the board stable

im not sure haha

Do you notice in Real DDR there's a pole in the back?

many people use that to keep stable and lift their feet off the ground to be lighter
