What can I do to reduce my pre-first day nervousness?

I'm going to start my 7th grade year tomorrow and I always tend to get nervous. This will be my second year at my middle school so I know my way around fairly well. I am going to set out my entire outfit tonight, got to bed early, have my binder ready and in my book bag, and my locker combination in my pants pocket.

Is there anything else that I can do to reduce my nervousness? What do you do before school starts?

  1. well yea i think everybody gets a tad nervous b4 the 1st back but is what i do is just go find some friends and just hang out, check out ur new classes, nothing to worry bout in ur classes cuz its the 1st day so just play it kool and have fun. im headin into 11th grade and i cant wait 2 get 2 c all my friends again so think of it that way.

  2. just keep yourself busy then you won't think about it

  3. Find something to do to get your mind off of it. Ideas: Clean your room, cook dinner, decorate your binder, go for a walk, do something with your family such as a game, etc. Good luck!

  4. You say you always tend to get nervous, I bet afterwards you wonder why, imagine it's afterwards.  I guess it probably is afterwards now.

  5. To cut down on my nervousness, I keep busy. I read books, organize my backpack/desk area (that way it will be easy to study for the rest of the year if you just put everything back where you got it), do my nails, anything I can think of!

  6. Be yourself.  When you try to act like something your not, its a hard act to keep up with.  I'm sure you'll be fine.  Have a great day.

  7. i look at it this way: it is the first day, and everyone will be nervous, so try and act confident and friendly. If you have low self esteem, you gotta fake it til you make it sweety. good luck!
