I don't ever get motion sickness...........should I take something just in case. I'm just nervous about going on a plane all by myself. Any suggestions? (I have not been on a plane since 2000.)

Thanks :)

  1. stay home

  2. Talk to the guy wearing the turban.....

Don't let him out of sight

Sei italiano!? anch'io...forza azzurri....behhh quasi un'altro anni si

  3. Ask for a pillow and break out your ipod. Then ask one of the flight attendants to knock you out. )

  4. You should take me! ha ha

I suggest you take your ipod or computer and just in case an advil or tylenol or something like that.

YOu should take whatever makes you feel at home.

  5. Well if it's a long flight (6-10 hrs or more) I recommend taking a Nyquil or some other night time medicine right before you get on the plane...that way you'll be relaxed and have a good chance at getting some sleep on the plane!

Otherwise, I would just bring a really good book to read- hopefully you'll get so engrossed you'll forget your flying anxiety.

  6. I have the same problem. im goin on a plane soon and im nervous..but my friends say its the safest way of travel so i think we'll be ok.

  7. Listen to music!

If you have an ipod or some sort of mp3 / mp4 player; its always good to put a few movies or a tv series on it and that takes your mind off it a lot. That's what I did when I went on a flight with lots of turbulence - it was great until the stewardesses made me turn it off when we were descending.

Trashy magazines also help me a lot.

If youre nervous, and your flight is quite long (preferably an overnight flight...) you might like to take some night time cough medicine that will make you drowsy.

dont drink any fizzy drink or caffeine before you go - it will also make your heart race more.

if you want to drink something - water or tea (preferably herbal).

Basically you've just got to keep yourself preoccupied so you dont think about it too much!

    Have fun, and good luck.

  8. I dont think there's anything you can do..I went on a plane for the first ttime last January and I was nervous the whole time. It might help to listen to music or read a book or maybe bring a xanax just in case

  9. hmm watch TV!! or eat sth talk with someone keep urself bz dont think u r in a plane think that you are driving in a rough surface :) btw use ur mp3 player liesten to music! in that way u wont hear any noice best of LUCK!!!!! dont worry have a safe journey!!!

  10. i've traveled all by myself plenty of times (to Asia, UK, New Zealand, USA) and it's quite fun to travel this way. i feel it's handy to read literature/travel books/travel stories, especially about your overseas destination(s), to help lessen your nervousness and raise your excitement level. and think of all the things amazing adventure you'll be having =). as for motion sickness- i almost always get motion sickness on cars, buses, boats, etc. but never on planes, so i think in your situation you'll be quite fine doing without.

    have a great trip

  11. just think of it as a big bus in the air

thousands do this every week - and you will, too

and you have somebody waiting to give you the BIGGEST

hug when you land - -

    have a great trip !
