What can I do to show my husband how proud I am of him?

My husband has been working so hard at work and just told me that he is getting more responsibility and a probably promotion very soon. We are expecting our first baby in December, so money is a bit tighter than what we are used to and we are swamped with preparations (not much time to go away or anything like that). How can I show him how much I love and support him and appreciate how hard he is working for our family? Thanks!

I guess it would depend on how your DH would take this as to whether you'd want to do it or not.  But how about a big sign on your fence or the side of your house saying "thanks" or "congrats" or whatever you wanted to say.  I know poster board and a marker or paints aren't that expensive.  But I'm also thinking a flat sheet and lots of paint for a bigger sign.

We do them all the time for military families welcoming guys home but I've started wondering why we don't seem to want to share other joys in life with the world like that.

Well, I usually clean the house and cook his favorite dinner and surprise him with a nice card.  I tell him that I love him and am proud of him, but sometimes a little enforcer helps.  You could also give him a back rub, or massage.  If you can spare the money, splurge on a day at the spa with a couples massage or something.

Sometimes little things meant the most.  Do something small everyday to remind him how much you care and appreciate what he's doing.  Fix his favorite dinner, rent and watch his favorite movie, there are many things that aren't costly that you could do.  And remember...little things sometimes mean the most.

You should write on many little pieces of paper "I love you" and hide them everywhere... Near the toothpaste , in his shoes, in the fridge, and in many other places where he could find them during the day. You should tell him " I love you" in many many languages...you can search on google "I love you in 100 languages" You could prepare for him a romantic evening with candles ,champagne and when he enters the door you could say "Hello darling I missed you so much. Have I told you that I love you lately (today )?If I didn't then.. I LOVE YOU ! Come,sit here...I prepared you something special . Just for you ! "
