What can I do to this doctor

what can I do about this doctor.. I went to see him and he gave me some blood pressure pills to try for 10 days then he said if they help me that he would give me a precription..they worked but then when I called back they hung up on me after telling me no..

Well... firstly, i'd like to know how you know if they've worked (have you been back since to check it?).... i'm assuming it's for your blood pressure.

Otherwise, it's possible that it wasn't the receptionist picking up the call (nor the doctor for that matter). I don't see any reason why they should do that unless you were trying to get the script written up without making an appointment to see the doctor at all.

If that was the case.. generally, doctors need to see the patients before they give out the script just to make sure that everything is still okay at that point in time. Making an appointment and getting that script is probably the best thing to do given the complications of having high blood pressure. It's probably best to call again to see.

If it wasn't the case, and/or you really don't like to go back to that practice, then possibly go to another doctor and make an appointment to get a script for the antihypertensives?

Call them back and explain what the doctor said and if they hang up again ask for someone higher up like a supervisor or the doctor him self. Thats bull, they are only blood pressure pills? Thats so weird. Good Luck!

I would call them back and say that you must have gotten disconnected.  That often works.   If that doesnt work, I would Call his answering service and explain to them exactly what was going on, and they will get ahold of the Dr directly.

Say that you tried to call for a script in the OFFICE and while it was open, but you seem to be either getting hung up on, and that all you were trying to do was get a refill for a BP medication.

And when you talk,make sure that he knows you are upset
