What can I do when after recording on dvd+r it says can not play or record.?

this will happen when I record something that is very long and it will take more speace than the disc has and than the recorde will eject the disc and when I try to put it in the player it will sayes that the disc can not be read or can not be played will you please let me know if I can do anything to at all to either erase the disc or atleast finalized to be able to watch it. thank you all.

If the file is larger than the disc, that is the first problem.  You need to compress the file so it is smaller than 4.7 GB.  

Also make sure whatever program you are using is creating the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, as well as converting the movie to .vob (video object) files.

The last thing may be the dvd player itself doesn't read +r media, you may have to use -r.
