What can I do with a blackberry?

My dad gave me his old blackberry to work with and it has no service plan. I am wondering what apps that I can use with it that don't require the internet?

Without the service plan, it becomes a syncable PDA. Calendar, contacts, tasks and memos can be synced with Outlook, etc.

It is a good phone and all but will do more when it is hooked to a data plan. Only $30.00 unlim internet and email. Maybe less if dad has data plan on his new phone.
