  1. translator/interpreter if you have a degree in another language like English

  2. I was going to say teaching.  8^<

Well, you could work for the federal govt. as a translator. You could work for a company that does business in France, assuming that the degree also gave you some better understanding of French culture.

You could go on to get a master's degree, maybe an MBA.

There are a lot of jobs that require a degree, where major doesn't matter.  Lots of companies want their middle-level managers to be college graduates but not necessarily in business or anything.  I had a boss who had a PhD in philosophy.

You might even find a job with a French company that wants to do business in the US.

  3. **work in international relations

    **interpreter/translator

    **work in tourism

**work for an international company/business that has ties with France, Canada, other French-speaking countries

    **work in marketing

Beside your degree in French, a degree in business or international business/relations/marketing might be good.

  4. Combine it with a degree in political science. This could lead to jobs in the diplomatic service.

  5. A lot!

French is still one of the official international languages, and it is a requirement to speak fluent French to work in the UN, and other international organizations. Also the Olympics still have announcements in French no matter what the country is. Also a number of private firms need translators for in-office and online work.

Honestly, I wish I knew French and I would be at a better position to work in the UN.

  6. I think the main job is the same job as with any BA degree. Employers are often only looking for a degree, not any specific one. Something like 80% of people work in areas not related to their college education.

I was considering a German degree, and I found out that foreigners are allowed to enroll in German universities with a German degree. Usually, you have to pass a language exam. Maybe it is similar for France.

  7. Stick your nose in the air, eat unnecessarily fancy food, and hate Americans, then wait for Americans to bail them out.
