What can I do with a hundred dollars?

I'm going to Russia tomorrow and my uncle gave me a $100 but I didn't tell my mom. What can I do with the $100? I'm 16, so what would be the saviest thing I can do with it? I want to profit from this $100. Any ideas?

A series I bond is about the best investment on $100.  If inflation heats up then you make out, if it doesn't you get a small real return.  It is too little to open an account in marketable securities and too little for a good bank account.  The Treasury's Series I savings bonds are about the best use for the money and after six months you can take it out at any time.
