I'm a bio major, but I also love art. I do believe I would like to go to Vet school for aquatic animals.

  1. Become an illustrator of biology and zoology books.  I know someone that does just that.

You cant go to vet school for aquatic animals.  You might be able to specialize once you get your basic vet degree.  Vet colleges are set up to train a person in two areas, large animal and small animal.

  2. Having the art degree on the side will probably be useful for applying to vet school.  Just like medical schools, veterinary schools look for diverse life experiences in addition to scientific background when choosing their students.

An art degree might hurt on your resume if you're applying to pure science jobs (lab tech, etc.), since the employer might assume that you're not purely dedicated to science, and not focused enough for the job.  However, there's no reason you couldn't leave the art minor off of your resume, since it isn't relevant to the job (just as you wouldn't list irrelevant hobbies or volunteer experiences).

  3. You can draw medical  charts for

    animals.

  4. be a marine biologist and paint on the side!
