My brother lives by a pond and said I could bring him there but I'm not sure about that.

  1. You can contact turtle experts at Hoffers Tropic Life & Pets, they have specialists there.

If it's a native turtle, you also can call the DNR (government pages in the phone book) about it.

  2. give it away.

  3. Maybe you could put it by the pond& your brother could take care of it.

  4. you didn't say what kind of turtle you have.  you cannot release a pet turtle into the wild, it is against the law.  the others gave you great answers as to where to find help for the turtle.

  5. Try advertising it on craigslist.org.

  6. Contact the “herpetologicalsocieties.com“. in your city and state with this site, or a Petco
