Question:

What can I do with an old headboard?

I bought an old wrought iron headboard and footboard at a garage sale (thinking it was a queen, turned out it was king). I have no room in my house for it and no mattress to fit it. It's really neat and don't want to just throw it out or sell it. I've heard of people converting hb/fb into benches, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of other things that I could do with them other than just a bench??

Thanks,

jup

  1. You can put your TV on it or if you get board you can cut it up and make a table out of it

  2. You can use it for a trellis in your yard, or a gate for a fence.....big gate :)

  3. put them outside in your yard.and plant flowers between them. when someone asks, just tell them is a FLOWER BED...

or just plant morning glorys at the base of them and in about 2 months you will have a wall of wonderful blue and purple flowers.

  4. stand them up against the wall in front of any other bed frame, it will look like it belongs, fasten it to the wall

  5. You could take it to a person who does welding and they may be able to take out a section of the metal and weld it back together so it will fit your queen mattress.  It probably wouldn't be that expensive and you'd have the bed you wanted.
