Are there any doctors could save my dog? or any ways to cheer it up? Almost for a month, my lovely dog became drowsy and it hardly ate as usual. I think this might come from the death of its mate. Firstly, I think its behaviors is common. After It took too long, I brought my pretty dog into the hospital for animal. You know, I can't stand that my cheerful dog became drowsy and look sad. I'm afraid that it might die someday.

After doctors injected him and gave some medicine to cure, I thought this might be worked in a few week. Anyway, I saw a different behavior from my dog. Do you think I find a new female dog for him?

  1. u cannot believe how  dogs can be hooked to one another.the feel, they love, and your dog i one of may cases suffering from separation fom hes mate.im sorry.

im not sure for the other female dog in ur family, t can be riscy, bt it could also save hem help ur dog come out the crises

go and get a basset hound.that face will cheer anyone face

  2. a months pretty long maybe he is still upset about his friend a month is a really long time but if your buddy died you would take time getting adjusted to it take him to places where he can meet other dogs maybe it will take his mind off of it

    good luck

  3. well if the vet treated the dog, what was or is wrong? if he has a medical condition and is ill dont buy another dog it  could be transmitted. and if your dog is convalescing, it is odd to me, that you dont seem to know the ins and outs of your dogs medical history.

' Drs 'do not save dogs they save people.

If the vet treated him and he is drowsy, slower off his food etc then why didnt you ask the vet to tell you what is his prognosis? Could be he has  along term ailment.

Learn  to listen when vet treats your animal or ring today for another appointment, and write all your questions down, and return  for more treatment as he sounds still ill to me if he has had a behaviour change.

  4. did your vet find anything physically wrong with your dog? your dog could be depressed from the death of it's mate, just like people get depressed. i would try showing him extra attention, spend more playing and overall just give him lots of extra love. if you have a dog park or a friends dog he likes that you could go visit you can go to that would be good because there you can see if there is a definite change in attitude when he gets with other dogs and if he perks up and seems happier maybe start looking for another dog , he is probably just lonely otherwise it may be just like with people it takes time and you will know when you both are ready for another dog. if nothing seems to work definitely take him back to the vet because if he is not eating  and moping around that isn't physically healthy for him. hope this helps

  5. YES!

go outand get another dog? he could be very lonley? and he could be scared of being the only dog now? i think another dog will defiantly cheer him up? maybe go and get an older dog around the same age as your dog because a puppy will take up too much of your time and he might feel rejected? so get a trained dog? good luck to you and your dog?
