  1. if he has a pet you could use it as a pet bed, or use it in a playcorner than he can sleep on it

  2. Ask him what he wants to do with it.

i would put a sheet on it and some pillows and put some books next to it to encourage reading.

  3. if he has a big enough room or a play room, put a sheet on it and just let him play on it... forts are always fun, set up some chairs and put a sheet over the chairs so he can "hide out" let his imagination run wild! good luck!  :)

  4. if you don't plan on having any more children, donate it to a pregnant friend or goodwill.

  5. put skateboards under it and ride it down a hill!!thats what my friends and i did once lol

  6. Don't give it to a friend, there is a higher chance of SIDS from 2nd hand mattresses. What we did with ours was we kept some of the fitted sheets for it and just keep it under the bed and then when it's movie night etc or they have friends over, we get it out and they use it in the loungeroom to lay on or sit on and play (use it to make a cubby or a slide), Or when not well it comes in handy to lay on that instead of the couch just incase they are going to be sick, (learnt that the hard way) the crib mattress is ALOT easier to clean then an expensive couch.

  7. Just put a sheet on it and let him use it to build forts or whatever, ask him what he wants to do with it. But I suggest that when you are down with the Mattress to Throw it away, just because mattress should not be reused just because of the fact that is can spread anything, not saying your son has something its just that's how things get spread, if you know what i mean. So do not donate it. Good Luck!

  8. For my boys... I took them to Walmart let them pick out a fabric they liked, made a sheet for them, threw some pillows on there, and its a cushioned place for them to read their books, and take a nap.  My boys also like to make secret hide outs(as they call it), and forts.  My daughter calls hers her princess chair.  Hope this helps.
