Question:

What can I do with my spare routers?

I don't know how I have accumulated so many of them but I have about 3 wireless routers in my basement. I already have a router connected to our cable modem upstairs. Can I attached any of these spare routers to my computers upstairs or in the basement to expand the coverage of my home network? Can I attach a router to a computer I have in the basement so I can then attached another computer to it and "connect" the two computers together? Or does it just all come down to me having spare routers with nothing to do with them?

  1. I think what you want to look up is "Wireless bridge"

You can find many guides, this one should help http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/art...

  3. I have two routers set in a series, the first plugs to the modem and the second I plug into the first, as I don't use wireless, although both are wireless capable. On this system I have five desktop computers running.

  4. Give one to me. :) Save me £50 ($100)   :)

  5. Depending on brand you can make AP's out of them and expand.
