It's my understanding that now the 10 New Shekel notes come as coins, so what can I do with these two old bills that I have? My bank won't exchange them since they're no longer in use.

They look like this:

  1. These have been out of circulation since 1995, they were in use from 1986 to 95, today, they have no value, and very little value to collectors.

At todays rate they are about 3$ each

  2. You can sell them on ebay...

  3. 20 New Israeli Shekels (NIS) is equivalent to 5 United States Dollars (USD).

    Actually, more accurately, 5.64127 USD.

  4. If you wish to exchange them, take them to (or call) your local Israeli consulate and ask them.

  5. Weird that your bank won't accept it, it's still currency...  Try going to a different branch and if that doesn't work, go to a change place (like in the airport).  If that STILL doesn't work, try selling it to a friend/acquaintance that's going to be traveling there.

    Good luck!

  6. I'm pretty sure that not even the Bank of Israel will accept them.

Maybe try and sell on ebay
