Question:

What can I drink instead of Soda?

I like Dr. Pepper, and some other sodas, but I'm not sure what to drink that isn't loaded with sugar and calories. I also like sweet tea, but my mom says that it's got twice as much sugar as soda..so I'm kinda confused as to what can be good for me...any ideas?

  1. crystal light...i'm diabetic and its what i drink...you can find all kinds of flavors and they come in small portable pouches that you can just dump in a water bottle...my favorite is pink lemonade

  5. Instead of drinking soda then drink lemonade, thats what i do and its delicious.

Like one of the answerers said, juice with club soda is excellent (club soda just has carbonation and a little bit of sodium, but no sugar that I'm aware of).  I love sweet tea, too, but when I go to a restaurant now that serves it I ask for it half-sweet, half-unsweet...you really get used to the reduction in sugar quickly (I can't even stand to have fully sweet tea now, it tastes too sugary).  I don't know if you're a fan of water with lemon, but I think it tastes so much better than plain old water.

  8. I have this problem too!  But sometimes I just get burned out on soda.  Some of the things I do is drink plenty of water because it is great for you.  Water or club soda with a splash of lime or lemon is good.  

    Juices are good for you, but also loaded with sugar.  In the summertime, I water them down (using club soda instead of water makes them taste really good!)  

    If you are looking for diet type drinks, Crystal Light is the best, in my opinion.

  9. Hey the best thing is WATER. But if you don't want that you should try Crystal Light, it's made out of sugar, but it dosen't have any sugar (called SPLENDA). I'm diabetic and that's the only thing that i can drink. You should try it!!!!!!!

  11. There is water and juice and gatoraid and punch.. Gatoraid has many flavors, tastes good, and has barely any calories! If you are drinking it when you are not working out then drink gatoraid G2 because it is like over half less calories the regular gatoraid! If you are going to get gatoraid I would suggest purple rain or G2 in the purple flavor.. With juice I personally suggest 1/2 the sugar O.J. because it tastes the same as regular O.J. just a lot better for you! Water- buy dasni!! It is the purest water ever!!! Good luck!

  12. Try taking orange juice, or cranberry juice and adding club soda into it. That's what I do and it's delicious.

  13. Make sure you drink soda with ICE.  You could drink Gatorade that is good for the summer.  Drink more water.

  16. Frankly, anything other than water will put weight on you from the sweetness or the sugar, or if you drink a lot of the below.  Water will put on water weight.  Maybe you just need to drink less.

    water, milk, fruit juice (pear, peach, pineapple, orange, cranberry, cranapple, apple), tomato juice, V8 vegetable juice, grapefruit or pomegranite juice, grape juice...or just eat the fruit instead of the juice.  kiwis, apples, watermelon and muskmellon, strawberries...they all have water in them.

    Be careful of the lemonade as it may constipate you.  Crystal light will leave you thirsty.
