  1. Who are you sore at? Are you holding back angry words you feel you can't let out? Did you argue with someone? once you get to the root of these & figure it out you can release the pain. The situation will pass so relax about it & your throat will clean up. Meanwhile some chicken soup will comfort you.

  2. Pudding, jell-o, mashed potatoes, applesauce, popsicles, ice cream, any thing soft and mushy. I had to eat stuff like that when I had braces and I had to get them tightened because it would hurt so bad to eat real food.

  3. gargle warm saltwater, it helps the pain but it doesnt make it heal much faster.  it sounds like you may have strep if you have fever

  4. Just wrap up in a blanket, watch a sad movie, and have some chicken soup.

  5. Soup like chicken noodle the salt will also help with the sore throat.

  6. Start with hot peppermint tea and honey, with that eat some broccoli cheese or other thick creamy soup to fill you up.

A popsicle won't satisfy your hunger, don't know what these folks are thinking. Also DO NOT cave to temptation to have ice cream - it will add more mucous to your through which you'll have to cough up, making it hurt more.

  7. liquids only, anything that will melt and not make you use you your Throat muscles or glands.

  8. you dont need any medicine. you can gargle your throat wit hot water and a good mouth wash like listerine, or hot water with salt.

you can eat hot soup, that's the best of course. Keep drinkin warm water every half hour or so. your throat should be fine in no time

  11. Honey! It glazes your throat and you don't feel a thing!

  12. Strepsils are excellent. you can get them in the UK. i dont know about america. not sure if youre in the UK or US

  13. Stay away from sugar!!! It's really bad for you when your sick! If you eat popsicles than make sure they are whole fruit and have low sugar, less sugar etc.

Cream of wheat, oatmeal, mashed potatoes are okay to have on a sore throat. Even pasta because its soft. becareful, they are all high in staches which turn into sugar in your body.

    Chicken noodle soup, perhaps?

  14. ice cream and icelollys will numb the throat for a while but if you want something more nutritious soup and soft bread

  15. Chicken soup.  Any kind of soup.

    Pasta slides down easily.

  16. Drink tea! It always helps whenever I have a sore throat. Hot tea, not iced tea.

  17. wht u can drink is cranberry rasberry juice...trust me it tastes sooo guud i love vranbery/rasberry juice....thts wht i drink when i have a soar throat..it clears ur stomach...also have chicken soup if you want...

Do not eat ne thing spicy or someting very sugary...not oily things...or salty...try eating a simple sandwich without mayonaise and ketchup....just tomatoes and cucmumbers...do not eat ne thing cheesy or u can have milk but no chocolate milk or ne thing like tht...

  18. Ice cream or any nutritious food put through the blender.

  19. you have strep. but i used toget it all the time and i ate popcicles, fudge pops, mac n cheese, and spegetti

  20. Hot chicken soup

Also, try gargling with hot water with 2 tsps. of baking soda and a pinch of salt.  If you do this 2 or 3x a day, it will get rid of the infection in your throat.

Hope you feel better soon! :)

  21. Pineapple will help heal.

Bromelain and papaya enzyme will help heal (pill- get at health foods).

Other than that..chicken noodle soup really does a body good.. Cooking fresh chicken soup is best..I like to just add garlic and a whole egg (stirred in) to canned soup. You can gut up biscuits (raw) and make dumplings too.

Anything that makes it feel good..warm liquids.

and you can suck on a whole clove at night..and carry them with you. Spit em out when you are done.. Great to carry in church or where ever if you have the sudden dry scratchy throat.

    Do:

       1. Drink warm drinks and soup. This will ease the pain, and give you fluids and some nourishment.

       2. Drink a glass of mint tea with honey. This works great.

       3. Eat cold foods, but avoid anything too sweet. Excess sugar will irritate the throat.

       4. Take a shower. The steam vapors help clear your sinuses, which usually is a cause of a sore throat.

       5. Use throat spray, such as Chloraseptic, and spray liberally in the back of your throat. It will numb your throat and kill any bacteria.  Cough drops/lozenges will soothe your throat, but won't get rid of it completely.

       6. Gargle with lukewarm salty water at least 3 to 4 times a day. The salt should be dissolved in the water. Don't go overboard on the salt so as to cause more irritation—there should just be enough to help clear any excess mucus in the back of your throat.

       7.  Swallow a spoonful of honey. Or...Cut a lemon in half, skewer it, and roast over a stove fire until the skin is golden-brown. Squeeze out the juice and mix in 1 tablespoon of honey. Stir and drink. Or- Get a lemon and squeeze it into a cup, drink the juice and add salt. Or- Mix ginger and lemon juice. Run down the throat without swallowing. The ginger will cling to the sides of the throat to provide temporary relief and a barrier to prevent damage from coughing. The acidic lemon juice will help with removal of mucus.

    8. Drink warm water. It will help by stretching the muscles in your throat and won't hurt as much when coughing. Drinking apple juice will relieve the pain (but only while drinking it). It also provides vitamin C which helps the body fight sickness..You might warm the apple juice.

    9. Sleep will also help relieve pain.

AVOID (some say..?? I don't pay much attention to these)

        * Stay away from eating hard foods, like meat, chicken and toast. It will hurt going down.

        * Try to stay away from milk and ice cream. Some say milk is turned into mucus.

        * Don't eat peanut butter, because it will stick to your throat and will feel terrible when coughing.

        * Don't eat seafood it will just make your throat hurt even more.

  22. You should eat cold things like Ice Cream and Frozen Yoghurt.

    Hope your okay hun =)

  23. Maybe some ice cream. OR cream corn. Something soft and easy to swallow.

drinking a mixture of hot water and honey helps the soreness too.

  27. warm chicken broth and hot tea even though it hurts to swallow warm liquids like tea and broth help a lot .if that hurts to bad eat jello

  28. soup and things that arent harsh on your throat, smooth things like ice cream and stuff. also sucking hard sweets is meant to be soothing for your throat

  29. Drinking warm tea with lemon and honey is the way to go.  Eating doesn't help it.

  30. Put some honey in a glass

    add some pure lemon juice

    then some hot water

    Drink this,

    It should soothe your throat

  31. chocolate with soft caramel in is really nice to eat! it also pulls the mucus down your throat while your swallowing.
