  1. anything vegetarian is OK. If you're Catholic, not eastern/Greek Orthodox, cheese and dairy are also fine, so you're not really limited.

It can be something as simple as grilled cheese sandwich or pasta with salad, or as exotic as Ethiopian stew or vegetarian curry.

  2. chicken is not meat, it is fowl so you can have that.

  3. Your options are endless!  To name a few:

    Breakfast:

    Oatmeal

    Cereal

    Yogurt

    Fresh fruit

    Pancakes, waffles, french toast

Eggs (fried, scrambled, hard-boiled, veggie/cheese omelet)

    Hash browns

    Egg and cheese biscuit

    Lunch/Dinner:

    Soup, salad, breadsticks

    Cheese or veggie pizza

Pasta with marinara sauce or alfredo sauce

Lasagna, ravioli, manicotti, stuffed shells with marinara sauce.

    Veggie stir-fry with rice

Cheese quesadilla or cheese enchilada with rice and beans

    Veggie fajitas

    Macaroni and cheese

Veggie burger (at a restaurant or Boca burgers from the store)

    Vegetable and cheese sandwich/sub

    Snacks:

    Fruit

    Crackers with cheese

    Chocolate/candy

    Popcorn

    If you're into fast food:

At Taco Bell you can sub beans for meat on most things.  Like a Bean Supreme Chalupa, or Mexian Pizza with no meat.

    Burger King veggie burger

Chipotle/Moes - loads of vegetarian options

    Veggie sub from Subway

  4. We always had cheese or veggie pizza growing up.  How about some shrimp scampi though?

  5. Since you asked, maybe you should consider becoming Southern Baptist. We don't let someone somewhere else tell us how to live. Lenten dietary rules are manmade and not supported by scriptures. The Bible says that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. Someone has it all turned around.

  6. pizza,  pasta, soup, grilled cheese.

  7. Vegetable or Plain Spaghetti just your favorite spaghetti sauce w/o meat plenty of flavors you'll find in the stores, Pasta, Bean Burritos, Instant Ramen Noodles or any Asian noodle dish, Fried Rice, Spanish Rice w/o meat or use the instant ones, Cereals, Pancakes, Waffles, Pies, Cookies, Cakes, Pastry & Desserts, Candy Bars, Breads, Peanut butter & Jelly Sandwich, Chips, Salads, & Fruits. No seafood or fish here since you don't like it.

FYI...I learned that Cheese & Egg is considered Meat if youre a practicing Catholic during Lent. Friday Lents. Information from Catholic Church School that I attend. That's why I didn't post Pizza because of the cheese even its vegetarian pizza has cheese I saw the recipe unless you don't add any.

  8. I guess any vegetarian dish would do right? You could prepare a lentil soup . That sounds great.

  9. Shrimp, Lobster, Scallops

  10. eat tofu and tempeh

  11. Grilled cheese, egg salad, macaroni and cheese, pasta with tomato sauce ,cereal ,vegetable or cheese omelet, vegetable lasagna.

  12. A veggie omelet

Tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches

Black bean soup, actually ANY bean soup made with veggie broth

Cheese fondue, if you can stomach that stuff

    Eggplant Parmesan

A veggie stir fry with tofu

Something made with fake (soy based) chicken or beef.

  13. Ask the person who told you you HAD to..

    Be sure you ask WHY....!!

You sound like you have a religious problem..

    This is food  & drink..

    Edit later

folks,,, You know the people who set these requirements also set the rule the earth was flat ..

    JUST how seriously is this...

and did you forget all the cover-ups..??? $$$$$$

  14. Anything meatless. Not just fish or seafood.

  15. if you like mexican food som choices could be bean & cheese tostadas , caldo de quesco (potato & cheese soup), mexican rice cheese enchihladas, chiliquilles, & other things good luck

  16. Try vegetarian dishes

Mac and Cheese is one suggestion, or how about Red beans and rice

  17. We also don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent but there are tons of things that you can have besides fish (which I don't really like either) and most of them are very easy to make. If you don't like seafood, go for the eggs, veggies and cheese:

    Quiche-with any kind of veggies

    Fritatas-sort of like a quiche

    Pizza-cheese or with veggies

    Tofu Stir-fries-We love it, although some people don't, use lots of veggies (especially good over rice){Or just sleave out the tofu if you don't like it}

Pasta-marinara or garlic/butter sauces with veggies,Lasagna, Stuffed Shells, Manicoti

Soups-there are 1000's, just Google soup recipes

If you Google Vegetarian recipes, there are 1000's of recipes that will come up .  Just choose what sounds good to you.
