What can I expect as a salry at a montessori private school as a toddler teacher in Las Vegas? I have 33?

college credits and four years experience working as a teacher's assistant. If they don't offer me enough how can reasonably negotiate higher pay.

  1. Oh, I feel badly giving you this information, but in general private education is notoriously underpaid. (Yes, even more so than public education.) Pre-school even worse, and sad to say, Montessori schools usually at the bottom of that heap. There is some leeway from area to area, but my guess is that you will be paid just a little more than minimum wage.

    You could try to negotiate, your experience and college courses might mean something to some schools, but most good Montessori schools not only have aides with college courses and experience, but who are working towards their Montessori certification to boot.

    Can you look into starting a certification program?
