I may have to move to North Dakota. Can anyone tell me what to expect or if they think I will like it there? I want to know what to expect as far as jobs and upcoming weather. Anything can help.

  1. Well, that depends on what part of ND you're thinking of.  I lived there [Dickinson, in the southwest] for 17 years.  The job prospects are not great, and the pay is pretty low.  And the winters are brutal.  Cold, windy, long, snowy.  Summer is hot but not humid.

BUT, the cost of living is low.  People there are very nice, in general.  The housing stock is pretty decent.  The public schools are quite good.  Crime is low and it's very quiet.  Spring and fall are great.

Overall, it's not a bad place, but if you need a lot of excitement, it may not be the place for you.
