  1. You can expect to be hooked on cruising for the rest of your life.  You will have the time of your life. I went once and was hooked forever.  Go to www.cruisecritic.com.......you can find your ship and go on a website that is all people that have cruised or are cruising on your ship. Its all about questions people ask and another experienced cruiser answers. You can ask any questions you might have and many people will send you a reply. Its quite informative.

  2. I have my next cruise on the Glory in sept as well and I am expecting a great time, a beautiful ship, and aw some service, just like I got on the last 2 cruses I had with carnival, one on the Fantasy and the other Inspiration, both where wonderful.

first advice I got was eat in the dinning room every night the food is better there, and you are free ot order as much as you want. if you want the lobster and the prime rib order both. you can also order espresso and cappuccino at dinner free.  I prefer the late seating myself it is better planed for me, especially if you like sushi the time it is open is better for it.

the only extra you have to pay is the shops, spa, bars, coffee shop and casinos. you may want ot do a little research on where you are going, it will probably be cheaper to wait until you get to port  to get a tour guide, there are always tone at the ports, and don't get the first ones look around a block or so first. epically in Nassau. the only excursions I would get from carnival would be the ones in Mexico for the Mayan ruins to make sure the time is right to get back to the ship on time.

  3. We are going on this ship in Dec also. It is a Conquest class ship, which means BIG!!! Be ready to do some walking to get to some places. There are many options on a ship this size. If you let me know what kind of activities you enjoy we could help you out a little better. For example, if you like comedy shows, musicals, etc. it's better to get the early dinner seating. If you do the night life thing late dinner seating would be ok. If you like water sports there are certain excursions you definitely would enjoy. If shopping is your hobby, you can just catch a cab at the ports and have a great time. If this is a special occasion, these class ships have an excellent supper club for that romantic dinner at a very reasonable cost(you really just pay for the tipping). No matter what you should have fun! Maybe we'll bump into you who knows. HAPPY SAILING!!!!

  4. this ship is way TOO COLD! i was freezing the whole time.  i have to admit i didnt like being on this ship.  i liked the ports (Western Car) and was really seasick.  dont get off at belize if you are doing that one unless you have an excursion planned.  sit in the Golden Dining Room, the Platinum is at the back of the ship and i could not even eat in there it was rocking so bad.

  5. My daughter and I went on a Western Caribbean cruise on the "Glory" in June last year,  we had a great time. Don't wait to get there until the stated time, they generally start boarding a lot earlier and it's not so crowded. Our favourite port of call was "Costa Maya". On board, we found if we wanted a drink it was better to go to the small bar up near the small pool at the back, the barman was a great guy and entertained us with little tricks and stuff as well as making a great Margarita. It was my daughters 21st birthday while we were on the cruise and I organised for the cabin to be decorated for her and they did a great job. I agree, go to the main dining room for meals, the buffet is good, but the dining room is better.

  6. I am taking that cruise in Dec. this will be my third cruise and you can except to have a very relaxing, enjoyable time

  7. My husband and I went on the Glory last May.  We cruised the Eastern Caribbean.  We loved it.  We are now hooked on cruising.  In fact we have talked 14 of our family members into a Christmas Cruise on the Glory.  We are going in December to the Western Caribbean.

    You can expect:

Excellent service- you will feel as if you have your own workers, they are friendly, helpful, and by the end of the week they will get to know everything you like/want.

Great Entertainment- There are karaokee clubs, dance clubs, pool side shows, vegas style shows, a large casino, free group classes-  make sure to check out the Carnival Capers guide they leave in your room at night.  It lets you know everything that is going on the next day.

Relaxation-  We forgot about everything back home!  It was so nice to have a week to revive ourselves.  There are 3 pools, 3 hot tubs, lots of lounge chairs, super comfortable beds, and no set schedule.  You do what you want when you want.

LOTS OF FOOD- It was everywhere.  I gained 8 pounds and that was with going to their state of the art gym 3 days.  I have never had the kinds of food that is offered for free on the ship.  Drinks other than tea, water, coffee, and punch cost extra.  Buy a fountain fun card if you are a big coke drinker.  Everything I tried was delicious.

You are going to have a wonderful time.  I am already counting down the days to my next cruise.  250 some days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
