What can I expect to pay for a mariachi band in LA?

I understand going to Boyle Heights is the way to go, but what can I expect to pay? I would be hiring them for my birthday party, which would be a small affair. Maybe 20 people tops at my apartment (I got the okay from the neighbors). I live in West Hollywood.

if the band you hire is made up of illegal immigrants, then im sure you could pay them a lower price and get away with it.  otherwise, you are looking at least $300/1 hr. my cousin sadie hired a mariachi band for her daughter's 2nd bday.
