Heat & Water is included in my rent, but electric isn't. Just so I can figure out how much money I'll need, can anyone give me an estimate of what it might cost?

  1. depending on how often u use your toys, about 80 bucks...

  2. $75 should be in the ballpark, but you can go less if you're conservative.

  3. We can't answer this without more info.

    How big is the apartment?

    Is there air conditioning?

Do you leave a large television running all the time?

Will you leave the basic coal-fired Con Ed in place, or sign up for green sourcing?

  4. It does not make a difference where you live in nyc, but it does depend how big your apartment is. I have a 2 bedroom and con ed is no more then $75.00 per month. There was recently a  22% increase so it will probably be more soon. Con ed (thats who you pay your electric to in NY) has level billing, thats when they give you a set price to pay every month.
